How to start recording AI role-play?
PitchMonster let's you practice sales conversations with an AI-powered virtual customer. This guide walks you through the full flow — from logging in to completing your first recording.
Step 1: Log in and view your role-plays
After logging in at team.pitchmonster.io, you’ll land on your Home screen. All assigned role-plays will appear as clickable tiles.
Click on a role-play title to open the Role-play Overview screen. Here you’ll see:
- Type of role-play (e.g., face-to-face, phone)
- Maximum recording time
- Role-play language
- Your name and role-play context

Step 3: Review the user guidelines
Just below the overview, the User Guidelines (if provided by the admin) section gives you:

The scenario context

Who you’re speaking with (the virtual customer)

What you’re expected to achieve during the call

Any attachments to review beforehand (click to open in your browser)

Step 4: Check your setup
Before you begin recording:
- Allow PitchMonster to access your microphone and camera (if prompted)
- Test your mic by speaking and confirming the sound bars move
- Check your camera to ensure your image is visible (if applicable)

Step 5: Start recording
Once ready:

Click Start recording role-play

The AI role-play will begin — treat it like a real conversation

Use natural, conversational tone and follow your sales methodology
Step 6: Engage with the customer
Conduct the role-play as you would any real sales conversation.

Respond to questions and objections

Ask thoughtful questions to uncover the customer’s challenges and needs
Step 7: End the role-play
Once you feel the conversation has reached a natural close:

Click the End Role-play button

You’ll see a confirmation that your recording is being saved

Your recording will save automatically
The system will begin processing AI-powered feedback, including:
- Scorecard with AI suggestions
- Speech coaching
- Conversation transcript
This usually takes less than one minute.
